Continuing Professional Development
I am currently completing specialist menopause training for health and fitness professionals.
I am also preparing a PhD application focused on understanding what helps less-active adolescent girls engage with and continue community gym-based physical activity. The research will explore the behavioural, psychological, social and environmental influences on participation and work with girls to co-design more supportive exercise opportunities.
Clinical Exercise & Rehabilitation
With a Master’s degree in Applied Exercise and Health Science and a Diploma in GP Exercise Referral, I design safe, effective exercise programmes for people living with long-term health conditions. My specialist knowledge allows me to adapt exercise around individual needs, helping people improve their strength, mobility, physical confidence and quality of life.
Injury Prevention & Movement Optimisation
As a qualified Stretch and Flexibility Coach with a strong understanding of musculoskeletal health, I use strength, mobility and flexibility training to support more comfortable and efficient movement. Exercise is carefully adapted to help clients reduce injury risk, rebuild physical confidence and improve long-term movement.
Functional Fitness & Healthy Longevity for Adults 40+
I create personalised exercise programmes for adults over 40 who want to remain strong, mobile and active. Training may focus on muscular strength, cardiovascular fitness, balance, bone health and joint function; supporting independence, physical resilience and quality of life as we age.
Women’s Strength and Hormonal Health
Through Ladies Power Hour and my continued specialist study of exercise for women, I help women understand how strength training can support their health through different hormonal life stages. Sessions focus on progressive strength, bone health, muscle mass, cardiovascular fitness and confidence in the gym.
Exercise for People Living with Multiple Sclerosis
I have more than ten years of experience delivering exercise for people living with multiple sclerosis, including those with different levels of mobility and fatigue. I adapt strength, mobility, balance and cardiovascular exercise to each session, helping participants exercise safely while supporting independence, confidence and everyday function.
Adolescent Girls’ Physical Activity
I lead EmpowHER, a supportive gym-based programme designed to help teenage girls become more active, build confidence and develop a positive relationship with exercise. This work also informs my proposed PhD research, which will explore the physical, psychological, social and environmental factors that help less-active adolescent girls engage with and sustain community gym-based physical activity.
Person-Centred Exercise
Effective exercise is about more than selecting the right movements. Confidence, motivation, previous experiences and social environment can all influence how someone feels about being active. I consider these factors alongside physical ability, health and personal goals to create exercise that feels achievable, meaningful and sustainable.
Strength and Conditioning for Swimmers
As a qualified swimming teacher with 20 years of teaching experience and more than a decade as a competitive swimmer, I understand the physical and technical demands of swimming. I provide strength and conditioning programmes to support swimming performance, as well as structured swim training plans tailored to the swimmer’s ability, goals and chosen events.
Social Media
I don’t have separate social media accounts for Vicky Jayne Coaching. As all my services are delivered at Inclusive Fitness in Whitstable, you can follow the Inclusive Fitness social media pages for updates, classes and a closer look at what we do.
